How can I recruit an apprentice?
Most training providers will offer a recruitment service that is free of charge to you. They can help you develop the most appropriate job description and provide guidance on the best place to advertise as well as often providing services such as short-listing applicants or assisting with assessment activities.
How much do i need to pay an apprentice?
If aged between 16 and 18 or in the first year of the apprenticeship, the apprentice is entitled to the apprentice rate and if they are 19 or over and have completed the first year of the apprenticehip they are entitled to the National Minimum Wage.
This is the minimum an apprentice can earn, many employers offer their apprentices a competitive market salary.
