Heart of Worcestershire College (HoW College) Business Administration student, Kuba, is celebrating after getting offered a full-time job following a successful work experience placement!

As part of Kuba’s course he completed a period of work experience with a company called Arcus FM. During this placement Kuba was able to meet new people within the industry, socialise with new friends/ colleagues, push himself to take on every opportunity given and discover new skills.

During Kuba’s work experience, he gained valuable exposure by handling client phone calls and contacting vets to ensure they were updated with attendance dates. Kuba also took the initiative to follow up with contractors and update four different portals with the necessary information. As well as this, he worked closely with various teams offering support whenever needed, particularly when there were staff shortages. This experience helped Kuba build confidence in client interactions and develop a strong understanding of business management and the fundamentals of facilities management.

Kuba has now secured a job with Arcus FM and is thrilled as he now has lots of opportunities to improve not only in himself but in his work ethic too – one of the key things he prioritises. His role within the company is a customer support coordinator, meaning he helps external businesses with any issues they may be having. He is also the first point of contact for all escalations and complaints for internal and external customers.

When talking about his experience, Kuba said:

“The first time I heard about Arcus FM was when it was suggested as somewhere to do my work placement, since then I have been very thankful to receive this opportunity to have done work experience with Arcus FM and be offered a job – I am very grateful.”

When speaking with Kuba’s manager/ mentor she explained that Kuba has shown exceptional dedication and even came in during his days off to support the team. We are pleased to hear that Kuba has seamlessly integrated into his new role and is well-liked by the team, contributing positively to the work environment with his hardworking attitude and cheerful demeanor.
